The fit needs intentional drop — not just a larger size — with a hem that hits mid-thigh and sleeves that land at the wrist rather than swallowing your hands. What makes a good oversized hoodie?
A good oversized hoodie needs fabric weight of at least 350gsm, intentional drop-shoulder construction (not just a bigger size), and strong build quality with reinforced seams and a ribbed waistband that holds its shape. The hem should hit mid-thigh and sleeves should land at the wrist. Calmr uses slightly weighted cotton blend fleece — heavier than regular hoodies.
How should I size an oversized hoodie?
For Calmr's intended oversized fit, order your usual size. The cut already includes a shoulder drop and extra body width. If you want something even more exaggerated — think XL-on-a-medium frame — go one size up. The cuffs and waistband are sized proportionally so they still fit correctly either way.
Will an oversized hoodie shrink after washing?
Minimal shrinkage - cold wash, hang dry and you'll keep the fit exactly as it left us. Tumble drying on high is the only way to lose meaningful size. If you do tumble dry, use low heat and remove while slightly damp.
Are Calmr hoodies unisex?
Yes — entirely. Our sizing is built on a true unisex block, not a men's pattern that women are expected to size down from. The shoulders, body width, and hem length are all designed to fit every body.
